On Sunday afternoon in Gorzów Wielkopolski took place The First Semi-Final of Speedway World Cup. Poland won this meeting with 68 points. The skipper of national team Tomasz Gollob scored 14 points in five races.
Poland will be joined in the SWC Final by the winners of the Event Two showdown between Team Great Britain, Sweden, Australia and Finland at King’s Lynn on Monday night. The second and third team will start in Thursday’s Race Off 29 of July in Vojens.
- It was our day, everybody did a great job. But that is the history now. We are focusing on the Final event. I’m sure it will be though meeting. The Vojens Stadium track is one of those that you love or you hate. We will watch the Thursday’s Race off and we will wind up for the Final. We are counting on our fans. I can ensure you that we will do everything to come back with gold. - said Tomasz.
